US Green Card Lottery Diversity Visa

The US Diversity Visa Lottery, commonly known as the Green Card Lottery for the US, was introduced for the purpose of adding Diversity to the United States.

The benefits of the Diversity Visa Lottery, or Green Card Lottery, is that it will allow those who qualify the opportunity to apply for lawful permanent residency in the US. Lawful permanent residency means the individual ( and any immediate family members ) will be able to live and work in the US without any further immigration restrictions.

You can apply for the Green Card Lottery one time every year, but only 50,000 successful applicants are selected every year.

Each year the US selects approximately 90,000 DV Lottery applications (those that meet the qualifying criteria) in order to ensure that all 50,000 DV Lottery Green cards will be issued.
